Polly Cox,MHA,MSW,LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in North Carolina, Ohio, and Alabama. I earned my Master’s degree through the Joint Program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina A&T State University.
As a biracial and bicultural person of White and Native American heritage and a proud enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to the work I do. Over the past 15 years, I’ve served in a variety of mental health and community roles, and I also volunteer with my local Native American organization.
I work with individuals navigating challenges such as self-esteem concerns, relationship struggles, life transitions, depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, religious trauma, grief and loss, caregiver stress, and the emotional impact of medical conditions and disabilities. I also help clients build healthier communication skills and strengthen their connections with others.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you navigate life’s challenges and work toward healing and growth.

Legend of the Three Sisters

In Native American folklore, corn, beans, and squash—known as the Three Sisters—teach a lesson in cooperation.
One story tells of three daughters who could not get along, transformed at planting time into plants that would forever grow together.
The corn stands tall for the beans to climb, the beans enrich the soil, and the squash shades the ground to retain moisture and protect the harvest.
Together, they flourish—reminding us that by honoring each other’s strengths and working as one, we can create abundance and community.
Mission
To provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally competent mental health therapy that empowers individuals to heal, grow, and thrive. We are dedicated to increasing access to care for all, with a special focus on serving Indigenous, bicultural, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and historically marginalized communities.
Vision
A world where mental health care is accessible, equitable, and inclusive—where every person feels seen, valued, and supported in their journey toward emotional well-being, and communities are strengthened through understanding, respect, and collaboration.
